The Jersey Shore Marines, Detachment #1319 of the Marine Corps League was issued its charter on September 8, 2008. On September 22, 2008, a dinner was held in Manasquan for the issuance of our charter along with the Installation of Officers by the Department of NJ Commandant, Phil Uecker and his Staff.
Our Marines cover many years of hard fought battles, cold war and current actions. We’re looking for a few good men and women to join our ranks! To become a regular member of the Marine Corps League, you must either be currently serving in the US Marine Corps or Navy FMF (Fleet Marine Force), have served honorably for at least 90 days in the Marine Corps or FMF Navy, or be serving in the Marine Corps Reserve with at least 90 Reserve Retirement Credit Points. Associate memberships are also available to non-Marines.
The Jersey Shore Marines meet on the 1st Monday of the month at the Manasquan VFW at 7PM and yearly dues are $37. New members do not pay for the first year of dues, that is paid by the Detachment. If you are interested, call Brian Gillespie at 732-921-7411 or email shoremarines@gmail.com.
